Consultation and Public Speaking
Dr. Taranowski received his Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Chicago, Jane Addams College of Social Work and his MSW at Loyola University of Chicago. He is Past President of the Northern Illinois Employee Assistance Professionals Association and is on the editorial board of the Journal of Workplace Behavioral Health. He recently finished a three-year term as a Board Member on the Employee Assistance Certification Commission. Dr. Taranowski was also the recipient of the Northern Illinois Employee Assistance Professional of the Year award for 2009 and was also the 2009 Employee Assistance Professional of the Year as designated by the International Employee Assistance Professionals Association (EAPA).
Dr. Taranowski is currently an adjunct professor at Dominican University. Previously he was an Adjunct Associate Professor at the the Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work – University of Southern California. He was recently acting manager of The Loyola Medical Center and Gottlieb Hospital Employee Assistance Program. Prior to holding these positions Dr. Taranowski was the EAP Manager at Aon Corporation for 23 years. At Aon he also worked closely with the client-facing Aon/Hewitt Mental Health Consultation Team.
